| Multimedia, bilingual Dream... docu-poem with the farm worker experience as its roots will open inUC Berkeleys Boalt Hall 2-8 pm, November 3 in conjunction with a 3-day conference on the Central Valley sponsored by the Center for Social Justice. Dream.. is a highly charged call to community empowerment through organizing on a broad range of social justice issues. More details here. Community access: November 4 Dream... will be open 8 am-8 pm and November 5, 8 am-1 pm. Special openings for classes and community groups may be made after that by calling Elfie 559.472.6496 Dream... displays 106 large black and white photos, none smaller than 40, the largest, above, 5.5 x 8. Also included are short organizing docu-poem videos, music, even smellavision simulated pesticide odor in a tiny room showing video of farm workers being sprayed with pesticides. All photos and videos are by George Elfie Ballis, a cutting edge movement photographer-film maker and organizer for over 50 years. At 80, Elfie is Americas oldest movement media activist, working with many men and women young enough to be his grand children. Elfie is based in SunMt, a green living demonstration center.
