Rising tide of free speech against GAP sweatshops
More protesters. Louder horns. More shopper contacts. More creative strategies. Saturday protest at Fresno Fashion Fair Mall was the rising tide of free speech against GAP worldwide sweatshops. Aiming toward the big May protest marking one year since Fashion Fair had 20 of us arrested. This time the mall allowed a table inside with 3 people passing out leaflets. About a dozen more went in wearing anti-GAP T shirts and talked with shoppers at the GAP store entrance. Outside another 20 were waving signs and leafleting cars with overwhelming support from drivers. Now is the time to rise up.
