| Just before our grand comadre, Virginia Hirsch, died from leukemia at 77, she ordered no memorial services. So we, some 400 of us, celebrated her intense life with song and story. See a snippet of our party by clicking here. Ginny thrived just beyond the front edge of crucial issues. She was the point person in forming the legal department of the United Farm Workers Union. She ran guns to freedom fighters in Guatemala. She led a jury research research committee which resulted in the acquittal of Angela Davis. Among many other escapades, big and small. |
