Fresno bully punches the poor

Because many of us cannot
view video yet, SunMt will
run 2+ pages of every
Chronicle — first one with
stills; the rest with video.
Egged on by Fresno Mayor Autry and Police
Chief Dyer Fresno City Council bully punched

aggressive panhandling” law by a 5-2 vote.
Perea and Castillo voted no. Castillo opined
that the arguments for the law carried an
unsavory anti-poor rhetoric. Perea agreed and
said there is plenty of existing law to deal
with all kinds of aggressive behavior and that
is what street police officers tell him.
